How could you not love Jimmy Carter, photographed Friday by News Journal staffer Jennifer Corbett? He's a 3-year-old Beagle/Bassett mix owned by John Witt, who adopted him about three months ago from the Delaware Humane Association.
Witt was working on his friends' home along Washington Boulevard in Wilmington. Jimmy Carter was, well, relaxing.

Love that dog's face.
Looks as if Helen Exley is an inspirational author. She's been at it for more than 20 years, and has a line of gift books called appropriately enough, Helen Exley Giftbooks. And, yes, that is a great quote.
