It's going to be super cold this weekend, so why not take a ride to Timonium, Md., -- home of the Maryland State Fairgrounds, just north of Baltimore -- to take in the World of Pets Expo. These expos have great toys, gadgets, pet food, clothing, etc., and also dog exhibitions, reptile sales, and even potbelly pig displays. Lots of fun.
This one is from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $8, ages 8-12 $5 and younger than 8 free. For more info, call (800) 882-9894.
