Patrick Carroll, director of development at the Delaware Humane Association, has a pitch for Barack and Michelle Obama: Adopt Billy for your daughters.
Billy is a curly-haired Labradoodle that meets many of the criteria for the puppy that Sasha and Malia were promised if Dad won the election. He also would fulfill Michelle Obama's wish to adopt from a shelter. Plus, he does come from the home state of the vice president-elect, who rumor has it, also has a Labradoodle.
Billy is just over a year old, so that fits the puppy criteria - or close enough, and with Malia's allergies, the president-elect says the First Family-to-be is looking for a hypoallergenic pooch.
Billy certainly looks cute enough, but news reports say Malia is leaning toward a goldendoodle, a cross between a poodle and a golden retriever.
"We think that they should adopt from DHA, since the VP is from Delaware," Patrick says.

They should get a shih tzu..a perfect little girl's dog..they could dress it up or rough house with it..all these dogs want to do is play & cuddle with their family...they are hypoallergenic and I don't know anyone who has come in contact with one that hasn't fallen in love with the breed...they are love.

Any dog that comes from a shelter or rescue group. They should start the "Make a Change Club" - send in your receipt from a shelter and a $5 donation (goes to the HSUS or SPCA) and your dog becomes a member of the
"insert name" Club. Have the Obamas dog's pawprint on the membership card they send back.
Here is one for rescue right now - My brother has had a really rough year family-wise and they have a 2 year old goldendoodle that they just can't keep anymore. His name is Max and he's beautiful. They are in Missouri...
No matter what they choose the PUPPY MILLS are just waiting for the Obamas to pick their next product.....
PS goldendoodles and labradoodles and puggles and all the rest of the designer mixes are just that - fancy mutts not a "breed" and there is NO GUARANTEE the dog will be hypoallergenic (there is no such thing - just characteristics that are less likely to be an irritant to an allergy).
I'd love to see them adopt Billy, I was VERY disapointed in the Biden's selecting a puppy mill pup for their family. I think it definatly shows that the Bidens do not care about the puppy millls of Pa. Its really hard for me to believe that they went to Pa. and got a pup when EVERYONE from around this area knows, that area is PUPPY MILL CENTRAL!!!
