I received a letter from a Middletown reader this morning who needs to get licenses for her two dogs. She doesn't drive and her vet doesn't license dogs. A colleague thought Concord Pet handles licenses, but I called and it doesn't.

Any other ideas for her in or near Middletown?

    Try Buckworth's Hardware in downtown Middle. I'm pretty sure they do dog licenses there.

    You'll need your dog's rabies vaccination certificate to get started. Metal dog tags will be mailed to you. Cost is $3-$18 depending on whether your pooch is spayed/neutered and length of the license.
